Important Notice

HORSE RIDING IS A HIGH RISK SPORT.

At Pockerley we aim to accommodate you with a horse/pony suited to your needs. All horses can be unpredictable and you may fall and/or receive injury. Personal insurance is recommended.

Riding tuition is carefully planned and structured to meet the individual needs of customers.
Pupils are grouped according to ability and are encouraged to progress.

All new customers must have a private assessment to determine which group will suit them best. Please note that due to the health and safety of both customer and horse the riding school now has a weight restriction of 13 1/2 stone.

Clothing
• Correctly fitting BSI standard hats should be worn to PAS 015 or BSEN 1384 should be worn with attached 3 point fastening.
• Comfortable trousers or jodhpurs are recommended (not jeans).
• Boots with smooth soles and small heels.
• Warm, waterproof clothing and gloves in cold, wet weather.
• A body protector is strongly recommended and is essential for cross country lessons.

Safety at Pockerley Riding School
The riding school is also a busy livery yard. A safety code of practice is displayed in customer reception and individual copies are available.
Once you have decided to ride at Pockerley please make sure you have completed a customer registration form.

Supervision
